Chen’s Tai Chi originated from Chen Valley, Wen County, in Henan province of China. It is invented by Wang-Ting Chen in Ming dynasty, and is the oldest style of Tai Chi which still contains the authentic techniques. Chen Tai Chi is marked by spiral silk-winding fluidity, accented by standing meditation. It combines hard and soft, fast and slow, relaxing and springing motions. The movements are used to ignite and stimulate the body's energy; as you practice, you will feel real inner energy electrifying your body, springing from the Dan Tian. This pulsation moves through all the meridians, extremities and beyond, melding into the universe and connecting with nature. Thus, the integrated use of mind, energy and movement creates a natural, beautiful and superior art.
